The lamp flickered, and its light suddenly grew brighter. It continued to shine brighter until the entire mountain was lighted by its dazzling light. Above him, the clouds parted, inspiring awe in Yasin. The settlement below was flooded with sunlight after it had been covered for so long, turning the formerly shaded valley into a cheerful, sunny paradise.
Carrying the lantern, Yasin made his way back to the settlement. The locals gathered around him, startled by the unexpected light. They marveled at the brilliance and asked him how he had created such a miracle.
Yasin smiled back and said, "The light was never really gone. It merely needed faith and a heart that wouldn’t give up."
After that day, the locals were no longer
The Frog and the Tortoise Story
There once lived a tortoise named Timo and a frog named Frodo in a serene woodland close to a lovely pond. Despite their strong friendship, their personalities couldn't be more dissimilar. Timo was quiet, calm, and thoughtful; Frodo, on the other hand, was gregarious and loved to jump around.
During a conversation by the pond one day, Frodo said, "Hey Timo, I think I can run faster than you! Come on, let's race to see who can move fastest!"
With a gentle smile, Timo, who was always sensible and patient, said, "Frodo, I know you're faster than me, but let's have a race. You know, it's not always about speed."
They opted to start the race at the large oak. tree by the pond and end at the top of a small hill nearby.
On the day of the race, all the animals in the forest gathered to watch. Frodo, full of confidence, was hopping around, stretching and boasting about how quickly he would win. Timo, on the other hand, calmly stood at the starting line, ready to take his time.
As the race began, Frodo leaped forward with all his might, quickly leaving Timo far behind. Feeling proud of himself, Frodo thought, “Timo is so slow! I’ll win this race easily.” After a while, Frodo started to get tired. He looked back and couldn’t even see Timo. "I have plenty of time," he thought. "Why not take a little nap?"
So, Frodo found a shady spot under a tree and fell asleep, convinced that victory was certain.
Meanwhile, Timo continued at his slow, steady pace. He never hurried, but he never stopped either. Step by step, he moved forward, determined to finish the race. As he passed the spot where Frodo was sleeping, Timo smiled to himself but said nothing. He kept going toward the finish line.
Hours later, Frodo woke up. The sun was starting to set, and he quickly remembered the race. "Oh no! I must finish the race before Timo catches up!" he thought. He jumped up and started hopping as fast as he could.
But when Frodo reached the top of the hill, he was shocked to see Timo already there, crossing the finish line. All the animals cheered for Timo, who had won the race, not with speed but with patience and determination.
Frodo, panting and out of breath, couldn’t believe it. "How did you win, Timo? You’re so slow!"
Timo smiled and said wisely, "It’s not about how fast you are, Frodo. Slow and steady wins the race. Sometimes, it’s more important to keep going, no matter how slow, rather than rushing ahead and losing focus."
Frodo realized his mistake and learned an important lesson that day. From then on, he admired Timo’s patience and persistence, and they remained the best of friends, knowing that everyone has their own strengths and ways of achieving success.
Moral of the Story:
"Slow and steady wins the race." Sometimes, patience and consistency are more important than speed and haste in achieving your goals.
